[Tested on Windows Vista] Nah, everybody know that Mac OS has an application launcher (dock) and I found that it help us to lauch everthing more quickly. Yup, you can add an application laucher too into your Windows if you want. There are so many application laucher there but I'll share only two of them because I ever use it on my computer. Here it is, Rocket Dock and Object dock.
There is not so much differences between these 2 applications. First, Rocket Dock. This is a simple dock but I found that it was very helpful. You can customize it's theme and it's icon. It works well with Windows XP, Vista and 7 but unfortunately alternate shells are not supported for 64-bit os. You can add effect to your RocketDock with UberIcon so when you click it, the icon will animate. Nice, isn't it? But, once more, UberIcon animation effect works better in Windows XP rather than Vista and 7, but there are some plugin animation that still look so nice if you still want it run on Vista or 7. If you want to try it, you can download RocketDock here

Next is ObjectDock. ObjectDock come with so many features and you can find it free version and pro version. If you want something nice with many features (ex: add more than one dock to your desktop), you must try the pro version. ObjectDock has so many themes and so many features (widget, icon effects) and you can put it in any place you want on your desktop. And in pro version, you can create as many dock as you wish, create tabbed dock, tray icon dock, get an aero peek for fast window switching and may more! You can download it here
