Manage your passwords with KeePass or KeePassX

[KeePass was tested in Windows Vista and KeePassX was tested in Ubuntu 10.10] Do you have a problem with remembering your password? For example, you have a lot of username and password (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc) but you're having trouble remembering all of them. Nah, I think this application can help you to manage your passwords. You don't need to remember all of your account information now. You just need to remember 1 password, and this application will help you to remember all of your account information. KeePass and KeePassX can help you now!

If your OS is Windows, you can use KeePass, but if your OS is Linux, you can use KeePassX. No need to worry, KeePass and KeePassX has the same interface. For Windows user, you can download KeePass from keepass.info and for Linux user, you can download KeePassX from http://www.keepassx.org. I've test in under Windows and Linux Ubuntu. For Ubuntu user, you can search it under Ubuntu Software Center.

After installing it, now create new database and store it in the safe place and set your master key. You should remember your master key to unlock your database. After you set your master key, now you can add all of your account information into you database. KeePass and KeePassX can also generate a random password for you if you want. You can also grouping your account information and there's still a lot of features you might want to know. You can go to their page to see all of it's features.

Now, don't forget to save your database after you add all of your account information. How to use it? It's easy! For example you want to login to Facebook, just open your browser and load Facebook login page (www.facebook.com or you can type fb.me on your browser). Now, after login page has been successfully loaded, switch to KeePass or KeePassX window (let your browser open, don't minimize it) and search your account in the search box (in this case, search your Facebook account). After you've found it, click (choose) on it and now hit Ctrl+V! KeePass and KeePassX will automatically enter your choosen account to your opened browser page. Easy, isn't it? 1 password for all, so, what are you waiting for? :D
